Our office is undergoing some serious renovation. This means that I am inhaling copious amounts of drywall dust and having coworkers come into my office, shut the door and complain about paint colors.
The latest offense? Right now the walls in the office are a collection of teal, pea green, red, navy and rose. Some of this is because the old colors were a hodge podge and now the new colors are going up, but regardless, now it is hideous. from my desk, I'm looking at my red wall out into the teal colored hall. sick.
I hate the think of the hours that we are spending bitching about this. But, our receptions, who hails from the Ukraine offered some words of wisdom. "In Russia, we have a saying, everything was just fine until you brought the piglet home. We have brought a piglet to the office."
I think we've all learned a little something.
